Gwen, The Arch Nemesis

The Arch Nemesis starring in this film is Gwen.

She is smart, evil, powerful and extremely self-centred.

Her reason for turning into a villain doesn’t come through the evil that is naturally stored within her like majority of villains we see, neither does it run in her family.

It all relates back to her past. This takes her long way back many, many, many years ago when she, herself was a student in Sky High with Steve Stronghold’s generation. Her school life was horrible for she was labeled and considered low for being a so-called “Science Geek” stuck in “Sidekick Class.” This made her school life a pain, not a safety, fun learning environment to be in which everyone deserved to have.

But not for her. ..

Instead, she continuously, on an everyday basis received rubbish from students in Hero Class, treating her like mud on dirt. Gwen’s self-esteem lowered down by the minute, until one day she was fed up and couldn’t keep it packaged within herself any longer. This is when a nasty and evil idea popped up into her head of, bringing herself back to her teenage years to raise the next generation of Sky High students ‘VILLAINS.’

Gwen, coming back and stepping foot on Sky High after all these years is finally ready for her up-coming sweet revenge.

That’s all I have to say about the Arch Nemesis starring in this film. I wouldn’t like to spoil all you people out there. So, just watch the movie if you want to find out.

Don’t you just love that feeling, when your so anxious and desperate to know what’s next in this and that? It’s just like watching an episode of your favourite soap opera, when towards the end, something big happens but you’ll have to wait for the next one which is in like WHAT?

THE NEXT TWO WEEKS!

Images of Scenes/Pictures

BLOGGERS!
Here, are SOME of the scenes from the film.
ENJOY, reading the Info I have included for each.

This is a picture of Me, The Commander and Jetstream! See, this is the other part of our secret life. I include this picture to be shown as it displays how I, The Commander and Jetstream save the town from its villains/dangers. It shows how much effort we put in just to save the town, as we indeed are a great fan in saving mankind and womankind, OF COURSE!

Isn't this so HEROIC and EXCITING? This, as you can see is of me again, trying to fight my way against another villain. I include this picture to show you that superheroes are not always at their best and can be at their worst times too. It’s good as you can learn by looking at it, that great talent and achievements comes from great hardship.

This is my wife Josie and I as real estate agents in reality, not in superhero world. This is to show you, part two of our life, without wearing costumes and fighting villains. This is how I and my wife are portrayed in the everyday human, daily-working life, just like everyone else.

As you can see, this is my SUPERHERO COSTUME.
I included this because it gives you a good view on the costume.
It also, shows my power of strength.
My colours obviously as shown are RED, WHITE and BLUE.
They stand for BRAVERY, PEACE and COURAGE
In the film, Will my son would always tease me saying I’m wearing tights.

Dialogue

HEY YOU! LOOK WHO’S BACK AGAIN! ME, THE COMMANDER! THAT’S RIGHT! THE GREATEST SUPERHERO ON THE PLANET! Haha jokes. No need to brag and show off.

So you’ve read lately, looking at my recent previous blogs about the working process put towards our film right.
All the movies we watch, include lines that become famous esp. to TEENAGERS! Sometimes because it is extremely hilarious but also, it may contain deep meaning which can relate to those who feel they are in the same situation.

For Example.

My girlfriend became my arch-enemy

My arch-enemy became my bestfriend

My bestfriend became my Girlfriend

But HEY! That’s HIGH SCHOOL.”

This line definitely develops Will’s character throughout the movie as his relationships towards people change. The events that happen affect his relationship towards others because conflict occurs, so borders are encountered causing changes in a relationship.

Example. Will and Layla.

They’ve been best friends since pre-school. Entering Sky High, seperated him from her as he was transferred to Hero Class whilst she stayed in Hero Support. This completely changed Will’s character, as he made new friends, fell into peer-pressure and did things which a Sidekick wouldn’t do because they were considered “low.” His priorities were ignored, meaning forgetting, excluding, betraying and hurting his true friends without even realising. This left him too occupied to all his Hero Friends ONLY esp. Gwen, not knowing he was getting set up into a trap.

Later on, the storyline progresses and continues to develop his character as secrets are revealed causing him to change his attitude, realizing what he’s done and learning from his mistakes. He realizes his Sidekick friends are worth more and much more important as they didn’t backstab and use him. Not only that, they were there to help him out at his worst times. Also, most importantly he realized that his feelings belonged to Layla and he had been stupid enough to not see it.

So that’s how the line,
“My girlfriend became my arch-enemy
My arch-enemy became my bestfriend
My bestfriend became my Girlfriend
But HEY! That’s HIGH SCHOOL.”
explains the development of Will’s character and the progress of the storyline.

Sky High, The Soundtrack

This blog features information about the soundtrack, music, sound effects included in the film. It answers yours questions.

2. Through Being Cool - They Might Be Giants
3. Save It For Later - Flashlight Brown
4. Everybody Wants To Rule The World - Christian Burns

9. True - Cary Brothers
10. Just What I Needed - Caleigh Peters
11. Can't Stop The World - Ginger Sling
12. And She Was - Keaton Simons
13. Twist And Crawl - Skindred

So. .. the two most FAQ are

“What type of music is used?”
“What popular music artists will appear on the soundtrack?”

Okay, well there really isn’t one general type of music used. It is of a variety ranging from popular rock bands like Click Five and Bowling For Soup, 80s music but revived to clean off that 80’s sound feeling for you all young audience out there, slow songs in other words, “slow jams” which you people call these days bring meaning and mood from its lyrics and the tone/sound of the music.

Two songs played in the film are:
1. I Melt With You – Bowling for Soup
2. Through Being Cool – Ginger Sling

So, how does this music fit into the atmosphere?
The first song contains lyrics,
Moving forward using all my breath
Being friends with you was never second best
And I saw the world crashing all around your face
Never really knowing it was always mesh and lace
I'll stop the world and melt with you.
You've seen the difference and it's getting better all the time
And there's nothing you and I won't do
I'll stop the world and melt with you.

In the end, everything turns out for the better. It fits into the atmosphere as it shows in the end the change made between Will and his bestfriend, Layla. They discover each others secret feelings for each other and share a kiss. The lyrics match the progress of Will and Layla’s friendship through out the film.

The second song contains lyrics,
We're through being cool
We're through being cool
Spank the pank who try to drive you nuts

As considered low, useless, shameful and disgrace to all superheroes because of being “Sidekicks,” this song definitely fits into the atmosphere. Being in Hero Class was the only key to being cool. But that didn’t matter because THEY WERE THROUGH BEING COOL. This song has a fast beat, filled with energy and power which definitely shows the pride with no envy for those in hero class.

Film Techniques

Film Techniques are used in films to attract and change the audience’s view points of characters. It helps show what the characters roles’ are in the film.
In this film, Sky High there are many countless angles used and see if you take a good look.

Here are four different scenes of four different angles:

Close Up – Will & Leila

This angle is used to keep the audience’s focus on one particular image. It involves a lot of detail included. This technique is used when something is trying to be proven or when the scene is really important, so it must be viewed close up to be eye-catching.

Low Shot – Coach Boomer

This angle makes the chosen image look stronger, bigger and of a much higher standard. This technique is frequently used esp. for villains and super heroes.

Long Shot – The School Falling Down

This angle is a long shot as it shows the full scene from a far view. This gives the audience a good outlook on where the scene is set, the characters involved and what is happening.

Extreme Long Shot – Sky High Home Coming

This angle gives the audience a much further outlook from where the scene takes off, compared to the Long Shot Angle. This angle’s purpose is the same as the one above.

Plot of Film

Hello Everyone! Ha! That’s so thoughtful of you to stop by and check out the latest blogs, unlike them other internet surfers out there, who don’t bother. I mean, HEY! We don’t just take some of our time off to write this. We do it for ALL our awesome, gorgeous fans out there. YOU, yes YOU right now definitely fall under that category!

As you all know, I play Steve Stronghold the Real Estate Agent in our new film “Sky High.” But of course, I’m most popular known as the extremely super-strengthed, Greatest Superhero of All, “THE COMMANDER.”
Many of you may have already watched the movie but SOME may have not, so
GUESS WHAT? I don’t want to spoil it for you readers out there who haven’t. So I guess, you’ll all just have to figure what it’s all about for YOURSELF. Oh what the? I feel so selfish at the moment. Oh alright, a little bit of info shared wouldn’t hurt and kill everything right!

Mhm, Sky High falls under movies of heroic action. I, “The Commander along with my wife Josie (Jetstream) are known as the greatest superheroes in the planet. With high expectations for our son, Will Stronghold to carry the family tradition as “The Stronghold Three, The Greatest Family of Superheroes” it doesn’t all work out the way we imagined. As the movie plays, many countless conflicts our dealt with when sudden shock announces the family that our son did not have powers existing within his soul. Layla (Will’s bestfriend), Magenta, Zach, Ethan, Warren Peace(Will’s sidekick friends) Ron the Bus Driver, support him in this situation.

First day on set, shooting scenes was tremendously tiring but awesome! It was NOT possible for us to not restart and repeat a scene after a minute since everyone wouldn’t stop laughing. It’s as if everyone was drunk esp. Lash and Speed (Bullies of Sky High). Gwen (Secret Arch-Enemy) would refuse to hit me and call me dirty names because we were “close” as she says. It made the director and camera mans laugh continuously like a hyena for the next 15 mins after she said that! Like SERIOUSLY, it’s just a movie. That’s her script, not like its reality! Haha! We didn’t get many scenes completed, but it was amazingly FUN! The cast all met up for the first time and got to know each other.

My favourite part of the movie would have to be, towards the end when all the adults at the Sky High Homecoming Committee get transformed into babies by the evil villain, “Royal Pain” (Gwen) It’s so funny watching it. We all look so cute and adorable.

Ohhh! This is starting to look like an essay, so I should just finish it now and end it. I’m tired anyway, had a long day ending with a long blog. Haha! So till next blog, to
ALL you gorgeous fans out there! Takecare!
